Chapter 11: Devils

Since I’ve finished creating the Artifacts, it's time to make the inhabitants for each galaxy.

I know aliens and various species will evolve naturally in these galaxies. But where’s the fun in that if I control everything? I want unpredictability. It makes things more interesting and lets me learn how different species live, coexist, and wage war. Knowledge is power, as they say.

Let’s start with the main species for the Abyss, Realm of Gods and Demons, Delta Galaxy, and Magia Galaxy.

First, the Abyss. The Abyss is often linked with emptiness and nothingness, but also with devils. So, let’s create devils for the Abyss.

I want these devils to evolve and grow stronger by consuming flesh, even through cannibalism. To balance this, I’ll place a barrier that makes it harder for them to grow stronger. They can overcome it, but it’ll take a lot of time and effort.

Let’s create our first devil.

“Use Major Skill: Creation to create a Devil Vessel.”

In seconds, a vessel appeared before me. Its shape alone was nauseating. It had hundreds of limbs placed randomly around its body, wriggling even without a soul. Eyes barely connected with veins floated all over its blood-red, leather-like skin. Its large, vicious mouth dominated its body.

It gave me goosebumps, but I wasn’t scared. It couldn’t hurt me, no matter how powerful it became. But it was definitely a sight to behold. If I were still human, I would’ve run away screaming.

“Use Major Skill: Creation to create a Devil Soul.”

“Use Minor Skill: Possess to let the Devil Soul possess the Devil Vessel.”

The soul smoothly entered the Devil Vessel, but the Devil didn’t wake up. I didn't want it to yet. I planned to drop it off at the mountaintop in the Abyss, where it would see my statue.

One Devil wasn’t enough for the entire Abyss, so I needed to create more. Maybe I could modify my clone to automatically create devils? That would be convenient.

I opened a crack in space and arrived at the mountaintop with the first Devil, in front of my clone, now a white jade statue.

“Use Minor Skill: Modify, to allow the clone of Blessed Body to automatically create Devils inspired by the first Devil.”

Instantly, hundreds of thousands of devils appeared around the statue, though they were still asleep.

“Use Minor Skill: Modify to modify the primal instinct and goal of the Devil.”

I gave them a goal: to devour and grow stronger. Now, thousands of devils were being made each second.

Since I was done here, I returned to the center of the Universe. I snapped my fingers, and two things happened: the crack in space closed, and all the unawakened devils awakened.

They looked around confused at first, then their instincts took over. Slaughter began instantly.
