Chapter 10: Terrible News
[Prince POV] [Asura Castle Gate]
After departing from the gods, my sister and I flew swiftly back home. With our previous cultivation levels, it would have taken us an hour to return, but now it took only an instant. On the way, we spotted General Emos heading back to the castle.
‘Hmm, it seems that the god didn’t kill him,’ I thought, a grin spreading across my face. ‘Good.’
I estimated it would take him about five minutes to arrive. As we arrived in front of the castle gate, the guards greeted us.
“Halt! Who goes there?” asked the two guards dressed in royal guard uniforms stationed at the gate. One of the guards looked up, recognized me, and said, “Forgive us, Prince. We didn’t realize it was you. You and the Princess have changed so much. What could have caused such a transformation?”
‘Good, it seems the hidden exits are still concealed,’ I thought.
“We were out for a stroll and stumbled upon something. Besides, it’s not your place to question us. When you see General Emos, tell him we would like to speak with him. And do not mention our changes; I’d like that to be a surprise,” said my sister with a beautiful smile that sent chills down my spine.
My sister isn’t as nice and peaceful as everyone thinks. There was a time when someone accidentally hit her with a rock. She appeared calm and forgiving at the time, but the next day, the person was found dead in a ditch, their eyes and hands removed. I can’t honestly say I’m any better.
‘I almost feel pity for Emos… almost,’ I thought.
“Yes, Princess, I will do just that,” said the guard, turning to unlock the gate and push it open. As we strode through the gates, the castle’s grandeur greeted us. The castle was magnificent, standing at least 17 meters high with walls as white as freshly fallen snow.
‘I’m going to miss this place,’ I thought. ‘But we have things to settle before we leave.’

“Sister, let’s go greet Father,” I said, spreading my senses to cover the castle. I found my father in his room, cultivating. Our father stood 1.9 meters tall, his appearance slightly above average, and he was wearing a Taoist robe. We both concealed our presence and teleported into the room.
[King POV]
“It’s been a few hours since I last saw my daughter, Temera, and my son, Asura,” I muttered to myself. I spread my senses to locate them in the castle but found nothing. I extended my search beyond the castle and detected General Emos approaching. I sent him a message through my senses: “General Emos, have you seen my children?”
“My King, I have dreadful news for you,” Emos replied. “It would be better if I told you in person.”
“Very well, I will await your arrival,” I responded nervously.
[Princess POV]
After watching the conversation between our father and Emos, a better plan for revenge occurred to me. I sent a message to my brother: “Brother, don’t reveal yourselves yet. Wait until the General arrives and informs Father of the news.”
My brother looked at me with curiosity but nodded in agreement.
‘Now, we wait,’ I thought with a grin.

‘Who were those two figures earlier?’ I pondered. ‘It doesn’t matter. No mortal could save them quickly enough.’
As I made my way back to the castle, I received a message from the King: “General Emos, have you seen my children?”
“My King, I have dreadful news for you,” I replied. “It would be better if I told you in person.”
“Very well, I will await your arrival,” the King responded nervously.
‘I can’t wait to see the look on your face when you hear that your children have been killed,’ I thought as I bypassed the city and headed straight for the castle gate. As I neared the gate, one of the guards approached and said, “General Emos, Princess Temera wishes to speak with you.”
I paused, momentarily stunned, but quickly regained composure. “Thank you for the notice. First, I need to meet with the King.”
The guard opened the gate, and I entered. As soon as it closed, I began to laugh maniacally.
‘Ha ha, stupid guard. The Princess is already dead by now,’ I thought as I proceeded to the King’s room. After five minutes, I reached the door to the King’s bedroom. Just as I was about to knock, a voice echoed from inside.
“Come in,” said the King.
“I am coming in,” I said, turning the handle and stepping inside.
“What is this terrible news you speak of?” the King asked.
“My King, the news is that I found the Prince and Princess’s dead bodies a few miles outside the city,” I said, trying to fake tears. “I believe it was the work of bandits.”
“It cannot be! The bandits know better than to harm a royal family member!” the King roared in rage. His power surged, causing sweat to bead down my back. The entire castle began to tremble.
“I will have their heads for this!” shouted the King, tears streaming down his face.
‘Yes, this is what I wanted to see,’ I thought.
“Now you know how I felt when you secretly killed my family,” I muttered under my breath. “Did you think I wouldn’t discover it was you?”
[Third POV]
The King didn’t hear Emos’s muttering, being too engrossed in his rage. In a corner of the room, the Prince and Princess communicated while concealing their presence.
“Brother, it’s time,” said the Princess.
They revealed themselves, and the King and General immediately noticed their presence, though they couldn’t sense their power. The intruders appeared colossal.
“Who are you? Do you know who I am?” the King demanded, exerting pressure, but with a wave of their hand, the pressure vanished. This action shocked the King deeply.
“Do you not know you’re in the presence of a King?” roared Emos. He hoped one of them would kill the King, but his hopes were dashed.
[Prince Asura POV]
“Calm down, it’s just us—Asura and Temera,” I said with a grin.
“Thank goodness you’re both okay,” said Father, relief washing over his face, which quickly turned to shock upon seeing our transformations. “How did you change so much in such a short time?”
“Father, let’s save that for another time,” said my sister with a beautiful smile. “We need to discuss our little General Emos.”
[General Emos POV]
‘How the hell are they still alive?’ I thought, looking at them in shock and disbelief. ‘I’m sure they should be dead by now.’
I blanked out for a moment and refocused just in time to hear, “… little General Emos.”
‘Damn it! Those figures must have been the ones who saved them. How could I not have sensed them? How could they have dismissed the King’s pressure? I need to escape,’ I thought, plotting my escape. I glanced at the window and took action.
[Prince POV]
“Where do you think you’re going?” I said, waving my hand and forcing Emos to the ground with pressure.
“What are you doing to the General?” Father asked.
“Father, this General,” said my sister, pointing at Emos, “destroyed our cultivation and left us to die miles away. If not for the help we received, we’d be dead.”
“You did what to my children?” Father roared, rushing toward the General. I released the pressure, allowing Father to reach Emos. He grabbed Emos by the neck and lifted him off the ground.
“Why did you do it?” Father demanded.
“Ugh…” Emos gasped, struggling for breath.
Father released his grip, and Emos collapsed to the floor.
“cough I just cough wanted you to feel cough what I felt when you killed my family,” Emos replied, gasping.
“Bastard! If I wanted to kill your family, you’d know it was me. I would not hide,” Father said angrily. “I considered you a brother.”
“Damn it! The Lord of the North. He’s the one who told me this lie,” Emos said with a hint of shame and rage.
“It doesn’t matter whose fault it is. You’ve done what you’ve done. You can either die painlessly or endure severe pain. The choice is yours,” said my sister.
[Third POV]
Faced with only two choices, sweat poured down Emos’s body. Just as he was about to reply, the King spoke in his place.
“Daughter, I am also angry at what he has done, but can’t you show your father some mercy?” said the King, his voice carrying a hint of authoritative force.
She looked at her father and simply said, “No.” She then turned her gaze back to Emos and said, “Now, choose.”
After a few moments, Emos resolved himself and said, “I choose pain. I will—” Before he could finish his sentence, pressure descended upon his body immediately. She started with the tips of his feet and hands, slowly increasing the pressure to crush his bones inch by inch. Each time he healed, the process would start over. Their father, drenched in sweat, mumbled, “She’s just like her mother.”
“Sister, I think that’s enough. It’s almost time for us to leave,” said the Prince.
Father snapped out of his trance and asked, “Where are you two going?”
“We are now servants of the Gods, Father,” said the Prince proudly.
“And where are these Gods you speak of?” asked their father, his voice tinged with doubt. The Prince and Princess no longer paid attention to their father and the General, focusing instead on their conversation.
“I think our father can handle the rest of the problems,” said the Prince.
“Yes, I believe so as well,” agreed the Princess.
“With that, our business is finished,” said the Prince. As soon as he finished speaking, two figures appeared in the room.
[Samuru POV]
“That was quite a spectacle we just witnessed. Do you not agree?” I asked Iovis.
“Yes, it was quite something,” he replied.
We both turned to our two servants. They bowed deeply and introduced their father.
“Milord, this is our father, King Dylous,” said the Prince.
“It is an honor to meet you both,” said the King, bowing deeply.
“I am Samuru, a God of Creation and Magic. This is Iovis, a God of Destruction,” I said, gesturing toward Iovis. “We need to depart quickly, so we will be on our way now. Before we leave, I’ll give you a parting gift.”
I waved my hand, altering the King’s body. He remained human, but his talent was greatly enhanced, though not to the level of our servants.
“Thank you!” said the King, bowing again.
“Time to go,” I said, and we vanished.
